ANDROID 6.0 MARSHMALLOW: ALL KEY FEATURES EXPLAINED

All would accept and agree easily that smartphones are essential devices in our life. . There was a time when communication was limited to landline phones and how different life was then! But, since the invention and launch of mobile phones, the definition of communication and our life have changed completely. To add more to the spice, came the Smartphones, and, thereafter, there is no stopping to their evolution and upgrades. With each day passing by, we get to experience a better version in terms of both hardware and software. As we all know that our Smartphone is capable of performing multiple functions than just making and receiving calls and texts. It is almost a mini computer which can do a much lot that we can even expect and the very rare majority of us are able to explore and use our smartphone in the best possible way.

People make and receive calls, do texts, listen to music, use the camera to click pictures and use it for browsing or searching for some information. This is the best possible use of any smartphone in current times and all this is facilitated through an operating system just like the one we have on our computers. The two most popular ones currently are undoubtedly –  iOS and Android. The majority of the Smartphones in current times is Android based and this is what makes them popular as they facilitate upgrades and allow to download unlimited applications which are free over the web or Google’s PlayStore.

Just like any other regular upgrade, Android also keeps adding newer versions and upgrading its OS which lets the user experience grow better and newer. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is one such latest OS version which is interesting and catching the eye for every Android Smartphone user. Google unveiled Android 6.0 Marshmallow alongside its 2015 Nexus device on September 29, 2015. Much similar to its predecessor, Lollipop in many ways in terms of UI, settings, notifications shade and navigation which remain the same, in Marshmallow, you get to experience a standard cog widget which contains an icon depicting what that particular shortcut goes to. Marshmallow also replaces the dialer shortcut with one to Google's voice search. Voice search has a complete new look with four colored dots float which becomes a waveform and then rotates as your voice request is picked up and processed. Google on Tap is now launched by a long press on the home button in the navigation bar. The app drawer appears as a vertical scrolling list as compared to the paginated horizontal list that Lollipop had. It also offers you a two-part notification/Quick setting area where a single swipe-down from the top of the home screen will let you see the highlighted notifications. You get to experience UI tweaks including a battery percentage indicator and customizable quick settings area where toggles can be rearranged or removed and new ones can be added. A hidden Easter Egg can be seen as a kind of metaphor for Marshmallow while in Lollipop the Easter Egg was a Flappy Bird clone. 200 new Emojis offer you a better expression with the fabled unicorn, tasty nacho, and the hungry squirrel the most favorite!

This certainly seems to be much more refined than Lollipop and if your business needs to hire expert Android developers for any Android Application Development, Evince have the highly skilled and experienced Android developers who can serve your technical needs.
